Cards are the tactical layer of Marketland+. Four card types let players manipulate customer behaviour, deliveries, products, and harvests in strategic ways. Cards are earned through play and spent for powerful short-term effects.

🔵 Shopper Cards

How they work: Tap to play on a customer currently in the store. That customer's budget is tripled for their current visit.

🟢 Quick Delivery Cards

How they work: Apply to any in-transit shipment to reduce its remaining timer by 1 hour. Stack multiple cards on the same shipment.

🟡 Product Cards

How they work: Four distinct uses — player chooses when spending:

Shipment Insurance Protects next shipment from storm damage 1 Card
Stockroom Upgrade +10 stockroom capacity slots permanently 1 Card
Fifth Display Unlock Unlocks a 5th slot in one aisle section 1 Card

🟠 Harvest Cards

How they work: Three distinct uses for the farm:

🎲 Card Strategy Tips

💡 Design Note: Cards should feel powerful but not required. The game is fully playable without ever using a card — they are accelerators and satisfying power-ups, not essential mechanics.
